Last Friday we kicked off an exciting new series of events at the resort. We will be having a five-course wine dinner on the last Friday of ever month (with the exception of when holidays fall on that day or weekend, like our wine dinner this month, which will take place on Friday, May 21 instead of Friday May 28 for Memorial Day). Each dinner has a feature region where all of the wines come from, which also inspires the menu, created and prepared by our executive chef, Jeff Adams.
For this dinner, with the Pacific Northwest as his inspiration, he crafted a masterfully executed menu featuring:
- Imported & Domestic Cheese and Fruit platter & Hummus & Grilled Vegetable Platter
- Pan-Seared Sea Scallop
- Skin-on French Breast of Chicken
- Slow Braised Veal Shank Cannelloni
- Sweet Ricotta and Mascarpone Tartlet
It was a wonderful evening and all of our guest really enjoyed themselves. We were able to get a few pictures of the event which are at the bottom of this post. You will notice that our chef came out to explain each of the courses as well as the wine pairings he made. If you are interested in attending our next wine dinner on May 21 with a feature region of Northern California (facebook event: http://bit.ly/9pnMnH), please call the resort to make a reservation. We look forward to seeing you at our next wine dinner!
